Typhoon Ketsana

Image

ImageOnce again the Manila is under water. Fire and Harvest Ministries people, school building, church and offiices are affected. As far as we know, almost all of our recipients and their houses and belongings is destroyed. We hope that all of them are accounted for and healthy. We will contact each one of them.
It has been a big ordeal for my family too. We have been stranded in our house, for three days. The panic came when the floodwater continue to rise. We tried to save the mission head office and our own belongings, but this typhoon was so strong. We had to give up and evacuate to the second floor. We rented a boat to take bring us to dry land, and now, by the blessings of some friends we are staying in Quezon City.
We have given out some relief goods and we will continue to do so. We are working together with other ministries trying to reach the unreached. There are so many indigent people who cannot afford the expensive boat rides to the areas where relief goods are being distributed. So together with an army post, we will try our best.
Our church is full of evacuees and I’m glad they are safe there.
